iCloud sync is flaky

I bought this and the desktop app purely and only for the iCloud sync feature.
I need a way to keep my rss feeds the same on mac and iOS, as well as mark as read the same on both.
Sadly, this app doesn’t do a good job of syncing over iCloud. I got it to sync when I plugged my phone in and synced it with my computer, but otherwise, over wifi and cellular, no dice so far.

If you don’t care about syncing with iCloud it’s probably a decent app. But if you prefer not to use one of the subscription services, and your prefer to just have plain old RSS working in harmony free of charge across wifi and cellular on all your devices, this is still not up to snuff for that.
